What items are tested before donating blood

Before donating blood, the following laboratory tests should be done on the donor: 1. Blood type, to clarify the donor’s blood type, including ABO blood type and RH blood type. 2. Blood routine should be checked to find out if the white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin and platelet count are normal in the donor’s blood routine. If one of these parameters is abnormal, the donor is not allowed to donate blood. 3. Check the liver function, glutamic transaminase and glutamic oxalacetic transaminase, if the donor’s transaminase is significantly higher than normal, the donor is also not allowed to donate blood. 4. Have the hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis C antibody, syphilis antibody and AIDS antibody tested, and make it clear that the patient does not have these four infectious diseases before donating blood.
