Are swollen feet a sign of labor?

Swollen feet of pregnant women have nothing to do with whether or not they are about to give birth, nor are they a sign of labor. Swollen feet in late pregnancy may be a physiological phenomenon. In late pregnancy, the uterus increases in size, compressing the inferior vena cava, obstructing the return of blood, it is easy to have swollen feet. It may also be the influence of pathological factors, such as pregnant women suffering from hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, pregnancy combined with renal disease, resulting in impaired renal function, and ultimately swelling of the feet. Swollen feet of pregnant women is not a harbinger of labor. Generally pregnant women have irregular contractions, fetal prenatal descent and redness, which indicate that the pregnant woman is about to give birth. If these phenomena occur, the pregnant woman should prepare the necessary items for delivery, once regular contractions, dilatation of the mouth of the uterus, premature rupture of the membranes and other circumstances, need to be hospitalized in time to wait for delivery.
