Acupuncture points for hypertension

Hypertension falls under the category of vertigo in Chinese medicine. Acupuncture points such as Baihui, Fengchi and Neiguan can be used.
1. Baihui is in the depression 1 inch forward from the midpoint of the line connecting the front and back hairline. The main treatment for headache, eye pain, dizziness, tinnitus, nasal congestion; stroke, fainting, epilepsy, convulsions, dementia; prolapse of the anus, yin ting (women’s uterine prolapse or even out of the vaginal opening) and other diseases.
2. Fengchi is located in the front part of the neck, under the occipital bone, in the depression between the upper end of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the upper end of the trapezius muscle. It is used for treating headache, dizziness, insomnia, strong pain in the neck, unclear vision, red pain in the eyes, tinnitus, convulsions, epilepsy, fever, cold and nasal congestion.
3. Neiguan is in the anterior region of the forearm, 2 inches above the transverse stripe on the distal side of the palm of the wrist, between the tendon of the palmaris longus and the tendon of the flexor carpi radialis. It is used for treating heart pain, palpitation, chest tightness, dystocia (pain in the area of coeruleus and ribs), stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, eructation (hiccups), insomnia, irritability, and contracture pain of the elbow and arm, and other diseases.
