What medications can be taken to get rid of epiglottis cysts

Epiglottis cysts can not be eliminated by taking medication, small cysts can be observed and regularly reviewed; secondary infections can be treated with anti-infective therapy; if the cyst is large, it can be treated with surgery.
1. Regular checkups: If the epiglottis cyst is small and has no uncomfortable symptoms, it usually does not need treatment, and regular checkups are enough.
2. Anti-infection treatment: If the epiglottis cyst is secondary to bacterial infection, resulting in throat congestion and pain, anti-infection treatment such as cefaclor, amoxicillin and cefixime can be given.
3. Surgery: If the cyst is relatively large and feels like a foreign body sensation in the throat, or even causes dysphagia, dyspnea and other corresponding symptoms, the cyst can be removed completely under laryngoscopy.
If patients with epiglottis cysts feel uncomfortable, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a detailed examination and treatment under the doctor’s guidance, not self-medication.
