When a patient develops cervical lymphadenitis, different medications need to be used depending on the cause.Cervical lymphadenitis can be a bacterial or viral infection, and commonly used medications include antibiotics, antiviral medications, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Involved drugs are cefaclor, acyclovir, ibuprofen and so on. 1. Antibiotics: Inflammation of cervical lymph nodes is mostly caused by bacterial infection, which can be treated with antibiotics for anti-infection, such as cefaclor, cefixime, cephradine and so on. Note that this drug may cause shock, so people who are allergic to cephalosporins and people with renal insufficiency should be cautious. 2. Antiviral drugs: If the inflammation of cervical lymph nodes is caused by viral infection, it can be treated with antiviral drugs such as acyclovir. Long-term use of acyclovir can cause liver and kidney function damage, so patients with liver disease and renal insufficiency should be prohibited. 3. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: If the patient has pain, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can be used to relieve pain and anti-inflammatory, common drugs are ibuprofen, ketoprofen and so on. With this type of medication, a small number of patients may experience nausea, vomiting, heartburn or mild indigestion. It is recommended to be contraindicated for those who are allergic to NSAIDs, pregnant women and breastfeeding. The above medications are for reference only and patients are advised to seek prompt medical attention and use the medications as prescribed.
