Thirteen-flavored Strychnine Pill has the efficacy of moving qi, lowering blood pressure, resolving blood stasis and relieving pain. It is used for chest and back pain, dyspnea, dizziness, tinnitus, swollen gums and pain caused by congestion of qi and blood, hypertension and polycythemia. It can also be used in “Gamba” disease (a disease caused by cold and dampness stagnation of the tendons and veins), resulting in the reversal of qi and blood.
The adverse effects of the drug is not clear, note that pregnant women are prohibited. Strychnine is toxic and should not be taken for a long time.
