Nephritis generally refers to glomerulonephritis. Spicy food is not recommended for patients with glomerulonephritis.
Patients with glomerulonephritis are often combined with gastrointestinal reactions, such as bloating, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. Eating spicy food may further aggravate gastrointestinal discomfort, affect nutritional intake and aggravate the condition.
Patients with glomerulonephritis try to choose high-quality protein, such as beef, muscle, fish, etc., to control protein intake while supplementing the amount of protein needed by the body. Try to avoid eating foods such as kimchi, pickles, and dashi to prevent excessive sodium intake.
If the urine output is lower than normal, patients should avoid high potassium foods, such as citrus, bananas and so on. Patients with chronic nephritis should control the intake of phosphorus and try to avoid foods such as egg yolk, melon seeds and offal.
Patients with glomerulonephritis are advised to go to regular hospitals in time and follow the professional doctor’s advice of standardized diet and reasonable treatment.
