Clinically, patients present with inversion of the calf muscles. Most of the reasons for this are due to deformities of the lower leg. For example, if the patient has knee valgus deformity, that is, X-shaped leg, the patient will have the manifestation of calf muscle inversion. Conservative treatment can be adopted in the treatment, which can be corrected by applying electrical stimulation locally, along with traditional Chinese massage techniques. Correction through electrical stimulation and massage can stimulate local intramuscular metabolism, which can reduce and relieve the degree of muscle adhesion, and it is also necessary for the patient to wear a corrective brace for immobilization. If the results of conservative treatment are not satisfactory, surgical treatment can be considered. Under epidural anesthesia, a wedge osteotomy of the femoral condyle can be performed, and a corrective brace is required for fixation after surgery. The patient should also be instructed to perform early knee exercises to prevent knee stiffness.
