Chest and throat blockage and foreign body sensation may be related to reflux pharyngitis, exfoliative esophagitis, esophageal cancer and other diseases.
1. Reflux pharyngolaryngitis: gastric contents reflux through esophagus to pharynx, corroding and damaging the mucosa of esophagus and pharynx, resulting in inflammatory edema and increased secretion, which in turn produces the symptom of blockage in chest and foreign body sensation in pharynx.
2. Exfoliative esophagitis: This disease occurs suddenly and is obviously related to eating. It may be related to mucosal injury or submucosal hematoma caused by hasty eating or strong swallowing of hard and dry food, so that the mucosal epithelium of the esophagus is peeled off. The manifestation is a sudden feeling of pharyngeal pain or retrosternal pain when eating, or only foreign body sensation or discomfort in the laryngopharynx and thoracic fossa, followed by nausea and vomiting.
3. Esophageal cancer: it is a malignant tumor originated from squamous epithelium and columnar epithelium of the esophagus, which is related to long-term stimulation of certain physical and chemical factors, carcinogenic substances in food, lack of microelements and minerals in food, alcoholism, cigarette smoking, gene mutation, genetic factors and so on. These symptoms can also be felt anywhere in the esophagus between the hypopharynx and the esophagogastric junction.
When you feel a blockage in your chest and a foreign body sensation in your throat, it is recommended that you consult a doctor for a systematic examination to clarify the diagnosis and cause of the disease, and cooperate with the doctor for active treatment.
