Which is worse, a ligament strain or a fracture?

Ligament strains are relatively serious compared to fractures. In the case of ligament strains, if the ligament is mildly torn, the ligament will be able to repair itself in about 2-3 weeks, usually with no activity. However, in the case of a fracture, even if it is mild, it can take as little as 2-3 months for the fracture to fully heal before you are able to do light activities or walk on the ground. If the fracture is more serious or even dislocated, it must be repositioned by manipulation and fixed by splint or plaster. If the repositioning is unsuccessful or if the dislocation occurs again after repositioning, it must be repositioned by surgical incision and fixed internally by using steel plate or other materials, and after the fracture is healed for 1 year, it must be removed by a second operation to remove the internal fixation.
