Sleeping with a small pillow on the waist can reduce the symptoms, and it is often preferable to pound the waist with both hands. Clinical examination: the appearance of the lumbar region is mostly abnormal, sometimes the physiological anterior curvature of the lumbar spine becomes shallow or deep, the lumbar muscle strain is painful, there is no percussion pain, no radiological pain, the straight leg lift test is normal, the X-ray film is basically normal, or mild bone spur formation is seen. The clinical classification of lumbar muscle strain in Chinese medicine: (1) Kidney deficiency type, if the kidney Yang deficiency, accompanied by kidney Yang deficiency evidence, treatment should warm the kidney Yang; if the kidney Yin deficiency, accompanied by kidney Yin deficiency evidence, treatment should nourish the kidney Yin. (2) Qi stagnation and blood stasis type, with local pain as the main symptom, the treatment is to activate blood circulation, remove blood stasis, move Qi and relieve pain. (3) Wind-cold-damp type, with wind-cold-damp evidence, treatment is recommended to dispel wind and dispel cold to overcome dampness. (4) Damp-heat type, with concurrent evidence of damp-heat, treatment is to clear damp-heat.
