Coronaviruses cause fever to subside. Coronaviruses belong to the viral group of respiratory microorganisms along with other respiratory viruses in the human body such as influenza viruses, EB viruses, azoviruses, and adenoviruses. These microorganisms can cause symptoms of respiratory infections, such as coughing, sputum, chest tightness, and fever. Usually, however, the elevated temperatures caused by these viruses will drop to normal on their own within a certain period of time. If no special treatment is given for coronavirus infection, the fever is likely to recur for a considerable period of time and will not tend to decrease. Therefore, it should be noted that if a patient’s temperature is normalized and then he/she develops a high fever, he/she must be careful about the possibility that it is a coronavirus.
