How serious are the dangers of electro-acupuncture

Electroacupuncture, or electro-acupuncture, can improve the therapeutic effect of millipercentrifugal needles and expand the therapeutic range of millipercentrifugal needles, but electro-acupuncture also has certain adverse reactions, such as patient’s fainting of needles, excessive stimulation caused by needle breakage, and so on.
The amount of stimulation of electroacupuncture is relatively large, and patients who do not feel dizzy from hand acupuncture may also feel dizzy when they receive electroacupuncture treatment. A comfortable position should be chosen before treatment, and patients should be previously informed of the sensation of electroacupuncture stimulation and so on. You should not receive electroacupuncture treatment when you are hungry, after a full meal, or in a state of fear.
If the electric current suddenly increases during electroacupuncture treatment, it may lead to strong muscle contraction, which may cause needle fracture or needle breakage.
Patients with heart disease should avoid the use of electroacupuncture, especially patients with pacemakers are prohibited from using electroacupuncture. Pregnant women should not use electroacupuncture. Electroacupuncture may cause acupuncture tolerance, i.e., after a long period of electroacupuncture treatment, the body develops tolerance to electroacupuncture, thus decreasing the effect of subsequent treatment.
Emergency treatment should be carried out when discomfort occurs, under the guidance of professional doctors, and electro-acupuncture operation should be carried out by professional doctors.
