Da Vinci Robot Completes Diaphragmatic Hernia Repair Surgery

    Recently, the first da Vinci robot-assisted diaphragmatic hernia repair in China was completed in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department of General Hospital, marking another step forward in the field of thoracic surgery with da Vinci robot surgery.  Patient Ding, male, 34 years old, was admitted to the hospital mainly because of “10 years of stab wounds on the left side of the chest, 5 years of diaphragmatic hernia repair, and more than 1 year of chest tightness”. He was discharged from the hospital on the seventh day. Generally speaking, the da Vinci robot is capable of performing all thoracoscopic procedures. In this case, the diagnosis was clear, and the da Vinci robot was applied to repair the diaphragmatic hernia accurately and without tremors.
