Early symptoms of cerebral palsy in babies

The incidence of cerebral palsy has increased compared to previous years. The symptoms of cerebral palsy are not all the same, but there are specificities. The symptoms of neonatal cerebral palsy are different for different age groups. The main symptoms of neonatal cerebral palsy are swallowing difficulties and breathing disorders in early feeding children, and for newborn children, after standing with both hands in the armpits, the baby will have a stepping reflex. If a 5-month-old baby cannot reach out to grasp an object after seeing it, and cannot sit still at around 6 months, there is a suspicion of cerebral palsy. In addition, if the baby’s arms are difficult to reach into the cuffs when dressing, or if the baby’s thighs do not extend when changing diapers, or if the baby is stiff when bathing, cerebral palsy is also suspected. The main symptoms of cerebral palsy are the ones mentioned above, but the symptoms alone are not enough to determine if the child has cerebral palsy. Each child has different symptoms, so it is important to go to the hospital as soon as possible to detect any abnormalities.
