What to do if a child has heat stroke and vomits

If a child suffers from heatstroke and vomits, the child should be quickly moved to a cooler environment and given appropriate cooling measures. The child heatstroke caused by vomiting, should be quickly transferred to a well-ventilated low-temperature environment, appropriate rest lying down, as well as appropriate drinking saline, and the use of lukewarm water to wipe the body repeatedly, is conducive to the dissipation of skin heat. If there is no significant improvement, then the child can be taken to the hospital for intravenous infusion, electrolyte replacement through rehydration, in order to avoid dehydration or even coma. After the above treatment, the child’s symptoms of heatstroke will often be relieved and disappear within a few hours, but if the child has obvious perioral numbness, muscle spasms, coma, convulsions and other manifestations, the child should be promptly transferred to the hospital for further medical treatment.
