Bowel adhesion after rectal cancer surgery is mostly caused by surgery, inflammation causing peritoneal adhesion. Intestinal adhesion is a common postoperative complication of abdominal surgery, and most patients have different degrees of intestinal adhesion. On the one hand, prolonged exposure of the intestinal canal during surgery, large surgical wounds may cause intestinal adhesions; on the other hand, intra-abdominal inflammation, exudate overflow into the abdominal cavity, as well as infiltration of rectal malignant tumors to destroy the surrounding tissues, intestinal adhesion symptoms will occur. For patients with mild degree of intestinal adhesion, fasting, regulating intestinal flora, anti-infection and other treatments are generally recommended; for patients with more severe degree, surgical separation is generally recommended to release the adhesion. It is recommended that patients should consult a doctor in time if they feel unwell, and be given medication or other treatments under the guidance of a professional doctor.
