What does uneven lung transillumination indicate

Uneven lung transmittance may be related to lung infection, emphysema or poor cooperation during the examination.
1. Lung infection is a common cause, especially in the early stages of the disease, when the infection may not be clear, and the presence of partial blurring affects the lung transmittance, and uneven lung transmittance occurs when lung imaging is performed.
2. Emphysema is also a common cause of uneven lung transmittance. Emphysema may result in chest expansion, increased lung transmittance, and thickening of the lung texture, leading to uneven transmittance on X-ray scans.
3. Poor cooperation and the need to hold one’s breath during the X-ray examination may be due to poor cooperation or an underlying medical condition that makes it impossible to hold one’s breath for a long period of time.
The exact cause of the problem needs to be clarified by medical examination and reexamination or treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
