It is not possible to generalize how long a patient with liver cancer can live, the specific survival time is related to the treatment method, his/her own situation, psychology and spirituality and other factors. Early detection and early treatment can control the disease better, and the survival prognosis is also better. Most of the poor diets of liver cancer patients are caused by chemotherapy. The pathological types of liver cancer include primary liver cancer and secondary liver cancer. Clinically, the 5-year survival rate of primary liver cancer patients after surgical resection is 30%~50%, and the half survival period after recurrence and metastasis is generally 7~16 months in case of liver transplantation; while the 5-year survival rate of secondary liver cancer patients after surgical resection is 25%~46%. It is suggested that liver cancer patients with poor diet after chemotherapy can promote the recovery of their physical strength by eating small meals with some high-quality proteins as well as a small amount of sugar and vitamins. Foods that promote appetite can also be chosen, such as hawthorn cake and hawthorn rolls, etc., but they should be consumed in small amounts to avoid causing gastric mucosa discomfort. For advanced and serious patients, drugs (such as domperidone, compound digestive enzymes, etc.) or rehydration solution can be applied to improve appetite. In conclusion, liver cancer patients should adjust their mindset, improve their appetite under the premise of ensuring survival rate, and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.
