I am anxious that many women do not care about ovarian cysts. Because ovarian cysts are different from fibroids. Uterine fibroids, if there is no change in regular checkups, no change in menstruation, no dysmenorrhea or pressure symptoms (frequent urination, constipation, etc.), can be observed without surgery. Ovarian cysts, unless they are physiological cysts (generally less than 4 cm, clear and uniform cystic fluid echogenicity, no separation and strong echogenicity, no solid and mixed echogenicity, such as corpus luteum cysts, follicular cysts, etc.), will generally disappear on their own and do not need to take medication. If it persists, plus do tumor markers such as ca125 check, if there is elevated situation, usually doctors will suggest you to operate. Because some of ovarian tumors are malignant, there is no effective means to confirm the diagnosis, and because ovarian cancer has no symptoms in the early stage, it is mostly found unconsciously during physical examination. Even benign ovarian tumors can rupture and twist when they grow up, leading to emergency surgery. At the same time, the cysts compress the normal ovarian tissues and some normal tissues are completely destroyed by the tumors, leaving no normal ovarian tissues at all, which will inevitably damage the ovarian function (destroy ovulation and secretion of female hormones). Therefore, once the diagnosis of ovarian cyst is established, surgery should be performed immediately to have the hope of preserving normal ovarian function and the possibility of early treatment. It is not useful to take medicine, it is both time consuming and costly.
