Liver parenchymal echogenicity thickening and enhancement, uneven distribution may exist in a variety of situations, such as chronic viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver, etc.. 1. Chronic viral hepatitis: when chronic inflammation occurs in the liver, because of the increase of fibrous tissue in the repair process, with the aggravation of fibrosis, manifested as thickening and enhancement of liver parenchymal echoes, uneven distribution, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C. 2. Cirrhosis: Cirrhosis in China is mostly developed from hepatitis, which is characterized by small size of liver, blunted edges, uneven surface, thickened and enhanced echogenicity of liver parenchyma, uneven distribution, nodularity, distortion of intrahepatic ducts, as well as indirect signs, such as splenomegaly, portal hypertension and so on. 3. Fatty liver: Fatty liver is divided into diffuse and focal, diffuse fatty liver is generally characterized by diffuse thickening and enhancement of liver echogenicity, and thinning of blood vessels and bile ducts; focal fatty liver is characterized by non-uniformity of liver density echogenicity, and thickening and enhancement of parenchymal light spots. The presence of liver injury will lead to the manifestation of liver parenchymal light thickening and enhancement and uneven distribution, further examination is recommended to clarify the diagnosis and treatment.
