The preferred drug for the treatment of tuberculosis is the first-line drug. The five main first-line anti-TB treatment drugs are rifampin, isoniazid, ethambutol, pyrazinamide, and streptomycin. Most patients can be cured with first-line drugs, but of course the choice of drugs is based on the patient’s condition. Currently, there are two types of tuberculosis: primary and secondary. Generally, patients with primary tuberculosis only need to choose the quadruple drug combination of rifampin, isoniazid, ethambutol and pyrazinamide. For patients with relapsed tuberculosis, streptomycin or quinolones can be added to the above-mentioned quadruple drug regimen for treatment. For some drug-resistant tuberculosis, second-line anti-tuberculosis drugs should be chosen, preferably based on the drug sensitivity test of tuberculosis bacteria.
