Headaches in the elderly with nasal discomfort are mostly associated with acute rhinitis, chronic simple rhinitis, chronic hypertrophic rhinitis, acute sinusitis and other diseases. It is necessary to apply antiviral drugs such as ribavirin; glucocorticoid nasal spray such as budesonide nasal spray; nasal decongestant such as ephedrine solution; antibiotics and other medications as appropriate for the cause and condition of the disease.
1. Acute rhinitis: it is recommended to drink more water and pay attention to rest. Early application of antiviral drugs such as ribavirin, morpholine guanidine, amantadine, etc., can choose 1% ephedrine solution or 0.05% hydroxymetazoline and other nasal drops, to alleviate the symptoms of the nose and headache.
2. Chronic simple rhinitis: patients can use vasoconstrictor drugs in the nose such as 0.5%~1% ephedrine solution, etc., and the general treatment is not more than 7 days; glucocorticoid sprays such as budesonide nasal spray; reduce nasal congestion and headache.
3 Chronic hypertrophic rhinitis: nasal medication is the same as chronic simple rhinitis. Surgery should be chosen when drug treatment is ineffective, such as submucosal low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation of the inferior turbinate, submucosal partial osteotomy of the inferior turbinate.
4. Acute sinusitis: the use of drugs for amoxicillin clavulanate potassium, the second generation of cephalosporin antibiotics (such as cefaclor, cefonicid, cefprozil, etc.) anti-infective treatment; the application of glucocorticoids, such as budesonide nasal spray nasal spray; eucalyptus-pin intestinal soluble soft capsule and other mucus discharge promoter; the joint nasal rinse treatment.
