What are the major functional assessments of stroke?

The two most commonly used metrics for the primary functional evaluation of stroke are generally the same. The first one is the mRS score. This is a score of the prognosis after the stroke has been treated and stabilized, i.e., whether there is disability or no symptoms. The second score is the National Library of Stroke Score (NIHSS), which is used at the onset of acute stroke and in the course of treatment. This is a relatively complex scoring system that requires a specialized physician to evaluate and is relatively detailed. The evaluation based on the corresponding indicators can effectively evaluate the development of the disease, such as whether there is deterioration or improvement, and is still relatively used during the onset of acute stroke and its treatment.
