Why liver puncture is not recommended

Liver puncture will bring the risk of tissue cell damage, bleeding, and infection to the body. If it is not clinically necessary to diagnose by liver puncture, other tests can be used to determine whether there is a problem in the liver. Liver puncture is a liver biopsy procedure. Because liver puncture is a direct puncture from the epidermal tissue to the liver area, the blood vessels may be scratched during the puncture process resulting in hemorrhage or tissue cell damage; there is also a risk of developing pinhole metastasis if the lesion is malignant. Patients with bleeding tendency and severe anemia are not suitable for liver puncture examination, and routine coagulation function test and abdominal ultrasound test are also performed before liver puncture examination. Before liver puncture examination, you need to cooperate to understand the precautions of liver puncture, eliminate nervousness, and cooperate with the examination.
