What is the function of San Yin Jiao

The functions of Sanyinjiao are to activate Blood and regulate menstruation (regulating menstruation by activating Blood), to benefit Qi and strengthen the Spleen (regulating the Qi of the Spleen and Stomach), and to nourish the Liver and Kidneys.
Sanyinjiao belongs to the Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian and is located on the inner side of the lower leg, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, at the posterior margin of the medial edge of the tibia bone, where the three yin meridians of the foot converge, thus it is called Sanyinjiao.
Sanyinjiao has the effect of activating blood circulation and regulating menstruation, benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, and tonifying the liver and kidney, and it is mainly used for treating diseases such as intestinal tinnitus, abdominal distension, diarrhea and other diseases of spleen and stomach weakness, spermatorrhea, impotence, urination and other diseases of the reproductive system, as well as palpitations (accelerated heartbeat, often accompanied by panic attacks), insomnia, hypertension, and impotence and paralysis of the lower extremities (lower extremity weakness, numbness, and pain), and other evidence of yin deficiency.
