The vast majority of appendicitis requires surgery, but only simple appendicitis and the early stages of appendicitis can be treated without surgery. Appendicitis can be divided into acute appendicitis and chronic appendicitis. Acute appendicitis can be further divided into acute simple appendicitis, acute suppurative appendicitis, perforated appendicitis and periappendiceal abscess. Early acute appendicitis and acute simple appendicitis in the stage of only appendiceal congestion and edema, lumen obstruction, can take amoxicillin, cefixime and other antibiotics conservative treatment. Acute purulent appendicitis, perforated appendicitis and periappendiceal abscess has been accompanied by infection, necrosis of the appendix, or even peritonitis, need to apply antibiotics such as amoxicillin and other anti-infective treatment before the operation, and surgical resection of the appendix, wash out the abdominal cavity, drain the abscess or abdominal cavity.
