How long does it take to bleed after cleaning the uterus

The duration of bleeding after a cervical cleansing varies from person to person and normally, most women’s vaginal bleeding should disappear in about a week. Cleansing removes the overgrown endometrium and also removes the meconium, blood clots and other tissues left after abortion to promote uterine contraction. And generally abnormal uterine bleeding is caused by thickening of the endometrium or lack of uterine contraction due to foreign bodies in the uterine cavity. All the above causative factors are dealt with after the cleansing procedure, so the bleeding is not very heavy and gradually decreases as the uterus recovers, and the bleeding usually stops in a week or so. However, if a woman has heavy bleeding and long duration after uterine operation, she cannot exclude the possibility of unclean uterus, or reproductive endocrine disease, and blood system disease, or even endometrial malignant lesion, so she should go to hospital for review in time to clarify the cause and take further treatment.
