Hand tremor is often not the first or only symptom of the disease. Patients should provide as much information as possible to help in the diagnosis when seeking medical attention, including the presence of concomitant other symptoms, the sequence of onset with other clinical symptoms, the presence of remitting and aggravating factors, and the presence of a family history of the disease, so as to provide a basis for ruling out the diagnosis.
