Differences between asymptomatically infected and diagnosed individuals with new crowns

The difference between the new crown asymptomatic infected person and the diagnosed person lies in the symptoms, imaging changes, and different treatments. 1. Symptoms: Both have been recognized to be infected with the pathogen, but the asymptomatic infected person does not have any relevant clinical manifestations, such as fever, cough, malaise and other symptoms. The diagnosed person has already shown relevant clinical manifestations. 2. Imaging changes: asymptomatic patients have no relevant lesions on lung CT, while confirmed patients may have relevant abnormal changes on lung CT. 3. Treatment: Asymptomatic infected patients should be placed under medical isolation for 14 days, and the isolation can be lifted only after 14 days and two consecutive negative nucleic acid test results (at least 24 hours between the two samples), and they will be turned into confirmed diagnosed patients if they have clinical symptoms during the period of isolation and observation. Confirmed cases need to be isolated for treatment. Since asymptomatic infected persons are also contagious, it is recommended to go to the hospital for further examination to determine whether they are infected or not, even if they are asymptomatic, if they have traveled to medium or high risk areas or have been in contact with patients or close contacts.
