Symptoms of Adhesive Bowel Obstruction

Adhesive intestinal obstruction is caused by intestinal adhesions in the abdominal cavity for various reasons, which leads to a series of symptoms of obstruction due to the inability of intestinal contents to pass smoothly in the intestinal tract. The symptoms of adhesive intestinal obstruction are summarized in four words: pain, vomiting, distension and closure. Specifically: 1. pain mainly refers to abdominal pain, patients mostly have paroxysmal colic, and always feel that there is a gas block running back and forth in the abdomen; 2. vomiting mainly refers to vomiting, the early vomiting of intestinal obstruction is reflexive, the vomit is food or gastric juice, and eating is vomiting. The frequency of vomiting and the nature of vomit vary according to the height of the obstruction site, and the higher the obstruction site, the earlier and more frequent vomiting occurs. Vomit is mostly objects in the stomach and duodenum, low obstruction vomit appears later, and the number of vomiting is less, vomit can be fecal odor; 3, bloating mainly refers to abdominal distension, the degree of abdominal distension and the site of obstruction. The degree of abdominal distension is related to the site of obstruction. Abdominal distension is not obvious in high obstruction, but it is obvious in low obstruction when the whole abdomen is distended; 4. The incidence of adhesive intestinal obstruction is more common among all types of intestinal obstruction, mostly in patients with a history of previous abdominal surgery, but also in patients with previous abdominal infection.
