Milk teeth are the first set of teeth that begin to erupt when a newborn is about six months old and finish erupting at about 2.5-3 years of age. The lower jaw milk teeth erupt before the upper jaw milk teeth of the same age, and the sequence of milk teeth eruption is mesial incisors, lateral incisors, first molars, cuspids, and second molars. Generally, the central incisors begin to erupt at about six months of age, the lateral incisors begin to erupt at about one year of age, the first molars begin to erupt at 1-1.5 years of age, the cuspids begin to erupt at 1.6-2 years of age, the second molars begin to erupt at 2-2.5 years of age, and the molars are completely erupted at 2.5-3 years of age.
