Does it hurt to have a tooth pulled?

Whether a tooth extraction is painful or not depends on the effect of anesthesia. During a tooth extraction, most patients do not feel pain or the pain is tolerable. If the patient does not respond to the anesthetic, he or she may feel more intense pain during the extraction. For patients who are anesthetized, there are patients who may feel discomfort during the extraction process. This feeling may occur because the periodontal membrane tears when the tooth is about to be dislodged from the socket, and this tear can cause the patient to feel pain. Although there is no way to completely solve the periodontal membrane tear, most patients can tolerate this pain as it is not very intense, so patients do not have to be too nervous during the tooth extraction. After the extraction procedure, it is important to note that you should not brush your teeth or rinse your mouth on the same day, and try to eat warm and cool food, never too hot food to avoid bleeding from the extraction socket.
