Intestinal obstruction does not necessarily require surgery. The intestinal obstruction with the highest clinical incidence belongs to adhesive intestinal obstruction, and most patients have a history of abdominal surgery, which should generally be treated conservatively with medicine. Local rectal enemas can also be taken to promote bowel movements and stimulate intestinal peristalsis to relieve the symptoms of obstruction. If the symptoms are still persistently aggravated by the above conservative treatment and the obstruction is still not relieved for more than 24-48 hours, surgical treatment should be considered.
