When a woman has symptoms of leg pain and low back pain, if there is no obvious correlation between the two, low back pain may be caused by lumbar muscle strain, fasciitis of the low back, or third lumbar transverse synovial syndrome. Leg pain is caused by muscle strain of the leg due to overexertion, local septic infection, osteoarthritis of the knee joint, synovitis, varicose veins of the leg, etc., which can also lead to the symptoms of leg pain. If the symptoms of back pain and leg pain are correlated, it should be considered to be caused by lumbar disc herniation, which is a series of symptoms caused by the backward protrusion of lumbar discs caused by various reasons, compressing the spinal cord or nerve roots. The herniated disc causes changes in the pressure in the lumbar spinal canal, which is reflected to the lumbar region through the sinus spinal nerve causing back pain. A herniated lumbar disc may also compress the nerve roots, causing radiating pain within the innervation area, mainly in the legs.
