What is the pain on the inside of the leg?

The most common causes of inner thigh pain are as follows: first, hip joint lesion or femoral head necrosis. Hip joint lesions lead to inflammation of the synovial membrane around the hip joint, inflammation of the ligaments or soft tissue edema, which in turn leads to irritation of the surrounding nerves, resulting in radiating pain in the muscles of the inner thigh. In the case of femoral head necrosis, there will be nerve irritation around the femoral head, which will lead to radiating pain. Second, herniated lumbar discs compressing the nerves leading to radiating pain in the innervated area, generally high lumbar disc herniation will lead to radiating pain in the inner thigh, mainly L12, L23 or L34 disc herniation. For pain in the inner thigh caused by a herniated lumbar disc, an MRI of the lumbar spine is usually required to make a clear diagnosis for symptomatic treatment.
