How to check progesterone

Progesterone can be checked with a blood test.
Progesterone is an important progestin that plays an important role both in the regulation of the menstrual cycle and in the maintenance of pregnancy. Measurement of progesterone is useful for ovulation, progesterone therapy monitoring, and early pregnancy evaluation. While checking progesterone is relatively simple, a blood test is sufficient and there is no requirement for fasting.
Generally speaking, in the luteal phase, the normal range of progesterone value is 9.5-89nmol/L; in early pregnancy, the normal range of progesterone value is 63.6-95.4nmol/L; in mid-pregnancy, the normal range of progesterone value is 159-318nmol/L; and in late pregnancy, the normal range of progesterone value is 318-1,272nmol/L.
The results of the progesterone test need to be interpreted by a doctor, and any abnormality can be treated accordingly.
