Novel coronavirus is a kind of coronavirus, which is parallel to SARS coronavirus, the two are the same class of virus but not the same kind, and novel coronavirus belongs to SARS-related coronavirus. Most patients infected with the new coronavirus have fever, malaise, and dry cough as the main symptoms, and a few patients have symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, and diarrhea, and most severe patients develop respiratory distress and/or hypoxemia within a week. In contrast, SARS virus is an infectious disease with rapid onset, rapid transmission and high mortality rate, with an incubation period of 2-14 days, and most of the infected population has direct or indirect contact with the patient.
