A positive viral nucleic acid test or a high degree of homology between viral gene sequencing and a novel coronavirus is the gold standard for confirming the diagnosis of neo-coronavirus. The nucleic acid test is a faster and easier method than gene sequencing. Nucleic acid testing is the standard for confirming the diagnosis of novel coronavirus, but a negative nucleic acid test is not a basis for ruling out infection. Patients who have not yet been diagnosed will be classified as probable, and probable patients will undergo nucleic acid testing and differential diagnosis several times during the follow-up consultation process to obtain a definitive diagnosis.
