Cupping which points are effective in dispelling cold dampness

Cupping can be done at acupoints such as the middle epigastric point, the yinlingquan point, and the fenglong point to dispel cold and dampness. 1. Middle Epigastric Point: Located in the upper abdomen, 4 inches above the umbilicus, on the anterior midline. It can eliminate food stagnation (promote food digestion), calm the mind and subdue rebelliousness and diuresis. Mainly treats stomach pain, abdominal distension, nausea (no appetite, less food), vomiting, acid swallowing (swallowing the acid in the stomach that rushes upward to the mouth and throat), hiccups (hiccups), jaundice, epilepsy, dirty agitation (upset and depression, sadness and wanting to cry for no reason), and so on. 2. Yinlingquan point: located in the inner side of the lower leg, in the depression between the lower edge of the medial tibial condyle and the medial edge of the tibia. It can strengthen the spleen and benefit the kidneys, promote drainage and seepage of dampness (to promote the flow of water to dispel dampness), and activate the meridians and collaterals for treating abdominal distension, diarrhea, edema, jaundice, dysuria (incontinence), enuresis, urinary incontinence, vaginal pain, menstrual cramps, spermatorrhea, and knee pain. 3. Fenglong Point: located on the lateral side of the lower leg, 8 inches above the tip of the ankle, the outer edge of the tibialis anterior muscle, one transverse finger outside the mouth of the bar. The main treatment for headache, dizziness, epilepsy, cough, phlegm, lower limb impotence paralysis (lower limb weakness, numbness and pain), abdominal distension, constipation. It is recommended that people with heavy cold and dampness in the body need to consult a doctor in time, and the doctor will choose the appropriate acupoints for cupping treatment according to the patient’s condition.
