What Causes High Fever in Cerebral Hemorrhage

Cerebral hemorrhage patients with high fever may have the following two reasons: first, central fever, cerebral hemorrhage when the bleeding site is located in the hypothalamus or neighboring parts of the hemorrhage, infiltration into the hypothalamus and other thermoregulatory centers, the blood will stimulate the hypothalamus thermoregulatory centers, resulting in central hyperthermia, fever temperature is often more than 40 ℃ and it is very difficult to reduce the body temperature through drugs. Secondly, infection is the most common cause of fever in patients with cerebral hemorrhage, and infection mainly includes intracranial infection and lung infection. Cerebral hemorrhage patients need to perform craniotomy hematoma removal surgery, which may cause intracranial infection after surgery. Most of the patients with cerebral hemorrhage have consciousness disorder, and the patients are comatose and unable to cough and cough up sputum, and they need to have tracheotomy and open trachea, which cause sputum accumulation and easily lead to lung infection. In addition, patients with cerebral hemorrhage who have impaired consciousness need urinary catheterization, which may cause urinary tract infection leading to fever.
