8mm nodule is not necessarily early stage of lung cancer, it may be such as tuberculosis ball of lung, fungal infection of lung, lung misshapen tumor and so on, all of them can cause small nodules in lung, so you can’t draw an equal sign between small nodules in lung and lung cancer.
