Angelica Fengyang Tang, also known as Fengyang Tang, is composed of Qiangwu, Fenghuang, Pueraria Mirifica, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Angelica sinensis, Radix Panax Ginseng, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix Scutellariae Radix, Radix et Rhizoma Zhi Mu, Herba Epimedium, Poria, and Rhizoma Zedoary. In this formula, Qiangwu dispels wind, dries dampness and relieves pain; Inoceramus, Poria and Zedoary clear heat and promote dampness (removing heat and dampness from the body); Scutellariae Radix and Radix Scrophulariae Bitteris clear heat and dry dampness (clearing away heat and drying out dampness); Fangfeng, Shengma Radix and Puerariae Radix penetrate the surface to win over dampness; Rhizoma Atractylodes Macrocephala, Atractylodes Macrocephalae strengthens the spleen and drying dampness (strengthening the spleen to remove dampness); Zhi Materia Medica clears heat and nourishes Yin; Radix Angelicae Sinensis nourishes and promotes blood circulation; and Radix Panax ginseng nourishes Qi. Dang Gui Xiang Pain Relief Tang has the efficacy of inducing dampness and clearing heat, dispelling wind and relieving pain (dispelling exogenous evils and relieving pain). It is mainly used for the treatment of dampness-heat interplay (dampness-heat intermingling in the body) and exogenous wind-evil syndrome, which is characterized by body pain, shoulder and back heaviness, or swelling and pain of the feet, and sores on the lower limbs. The drug is recommended to be treated under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner for diagnosis and treatment, and should not be used on its own.
