On the one hand, if the mother has a fever, there will be bacterial infections in her milk, and the baby may have a fever after sucking on the milk with germs. On the other hand, the quality and quantity of milk will decrease after fever, and there will be a lack of nutrition, and the infant will suffer from gastrointestinal indigestion such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea after sucking, and in serious cases, deficiency and malnutrition. When a mother has a fever, she is prohibited from breastfeeding. She can empty her milk with a breast pump and discard it, and she can only breastfeed her baby again 24 hours after her fever has subsided. During the period when breastfeeding is prohibited, the infant can be given formula or rice flour for temporary artificial feeding to facilitate the infant’s growth and development.
