What’s wrong with twitching and shaking in your sleep?

Twitching and shaking while sleeping may be related to physiological factors, and may also be caused by hypocalcemia and seizures.
1. Physiological factors: If the environment is too cold during sleep, prolonged exposure to cold stimuli may cause twitching and shaking during sleep.
2. Hypocalcemia: If there is hypocalcemia, due to the low blood calcium level in the body, resulting in increased excitability of muscle nerves, it may cause twitching and shaking during sleep.
3. Epileptic seizures: some people with a history of epilepsy may have focal epileptic seizures during sleep, which may manifest as convulsions and shaking during sleep, and may be accompanied by transient loss of consciousness and foaming at the mouth.
Twitching and shaking while sleeping, after excluding physiological factors, should be taken seriously and go to a regular hospital as soon as possible.
