Carbocistein Tablets and Pentoxyverine Citrate Tablets can be taken together. Pentoxyverine Citrate Tablets have central and peripheral antitussive effect, which can relax the spastic bronchial smooth muscle and reduce airway resistance. It is used clinically to treat dry cough of various causes. The combination of the two drugs can expand the therapeutic scope and enhance the therapeutic effect. So Carbocisteine Tablets and Pentoxyverine Citrate Tablets can be taken together. There are adverse reactions such as nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea and rash after taking Carbocisteine Tablets; Occasional side effects such as constipation, mild headache, dizziness, nausea and abdominal distension after taking Pentoxyverine Citrate Tablets. Carbocisteine tablets are contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers; contraindications to the use of Pentoxyverine Citrate Tablets are not clear.
