Carbon dioxide binding rate generally refers to carbon dioxide binding capacity, and its high level can be seen in diseases such as metabolic alkalosis and respiratory acidosis. Different etiologic factors lead to different treatments, including etiologic treatment, symptomatic treatment, and so on. 1. Metabolic alkalosis: actively treat the original disease, for example, if it is caused by severe vomiting or diarrhea, it needs antidiarrheal and antiemetic treatment, meanwhile, saline can be given to replenish fluids, and if it is caused by hypokalemia, it needs to replenish potassium; if necessary, it can be treated with arginine drip. 2. Respiratory acidosis: insufficient ventilation can induce respiratory acidosis. If it is caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, low concentration of oxygen should be given, bronchodilators such as aminophylline should be used if necessary, and antibiotics such as penicillin should be used if it is accompanied by bacterial infection; if it is caused by pneumothorax, closed chest drainage should be considered. Patients with high carbon dioxide binding rate are recommended to go to the hospital and ask the doctor to take into account the specific situation for treatment.
