Liver cancer metastasis to lumbar spine may cause severe pain and activity limitation. Liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, and bone is the 3rd most common site of liver cancer metastasis. When liver cancer metastasizes to lumbar spine, severe pain, limitation of activity due to pathological fracture, fracture damage to nerve tissues leading to limb movement disorder, sensory disorder, and abnormality of urination and defecation function may occur. Although the occurrence of bone metastasis suggests that liver cancer proceeds and the prognosis may be relatively poor. However, early diagnosis of bone metastasis of liver cancer can acutely and positively prevent the possible fracture or paralysis, thus improving the quality of life. Early examination and diagnostic means for bone metastasis include bone scanning and so on. When bone metastasis occurs, active early intervention is recommended.
