Moxibustion can be used for infertility because moxibustion of some acupuncture points will achieve very good results. For example, moxibustion of Guan Yuan, Qi Hai, Guilai, Zi Gong and Sanyin Jiao are the main acupuncture points. Guan Yuan is mainly four fingers below the umbilicus, and Qi Hai is 1.5 inches below the umbilicus. Guilai is 4 inches next to the umbilicus, 3 inches down is Guilai, and at 2 inches is the ziwu point, so both Guilai and ziwu are in 2 adjacent points. Sanyinjiao is 3 inches up from the inner ankle, and these points are moxibuted frequently, for half an hour a day. For patients with infertility, it is helpful for their pregnancy, whether for the kidney deficiency type, cold clotting and blood stasis type, or the qi stagnation and blood stasis type, or phlegm and dampness blockage type, all of these evidence types of infertility patients.
