There is no clear data on how long bile duct cancer can usually last after drainage. However, palliative surgery with implantation of biliary stent to make the bile duct drain adequately can help patients to relieve symptoms and increase the survival rate, thus improving the quality of patients’ survival. After surgery, patients should undergo regular review and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for medication.
